Mr. Bowling Ball® Arvorvitae is a very compact dwarf evergreen! It is naturally globe/ball-shaped, with to no pruning needed. It has fine-textured, lacy, awl-like folilage. The color is sage-green to blue-green for a stunning appearnce in the garden. It retains color well through winter and is very cold tolerant (zone 3). It's good for creating a low hedge or groupings when you want evergreen structure, but don't have room for tall trees. It's globe shape lends formal structure, but because it's natuallly rounded, it doesn't look still. The leaves are actually soft and delicate giving a lightly feathery look. Mr. Bowling Ball® is ideal for small spaces, rock gardens, foundation plantings, or as a low accent shrub and it also works well in containers due to its compact size.
