This summer blooming Allium will light up the front of your garden beds and borders with a multitude of large soft rosy-purple blooms that are absolutely adored by pollinators. Cobalt Millenium showcases much deeper, intensely saturated cobalt-purple flower globes throughout summertime, unlike its bretheren which blooms in late spring only. It has fantastic parentage as this variety reigns from one of the most successful perennials ever bred. It is a unique "sport" of the famous Allium 'Millenium' which was voted 2018 Perennial Plant of the Year! These drought tolerant, low maintenance perennials are work horses in the garden, with unbeatable performance that will make you want to grow them all over the garden. It has striking blue-green, dense grass like foliage that helps keep weeds at bay too! This really is hardy, dependable perennial with bulletproof toughness which thrives in poor soil, handles intense heat, and is highly drought-tolerant once established. Plus agressive, out of hand spreading like you can get with older allium, as this variety was hybridized to produce virtually no viable seeds, so it stays exactly where youi plant it! It's also very highly resistant to deer and rabbits for added versatility around the garden while pollinators adore the nectar-rich blossoms.
