This collection includes five different premium Allium varieties all of which will bloom at a slightly different time bringing up to 2 months of blooms! Then once the flowers have finished, they simply lose their color but continue to bring interest to the garden as their flowers become a golden wheat color. They're resilent plants that have strap like foliage and look great any way you want to garden with them. They can be dotted all around your garden to create movement, clustered together for a rich visual appeal, or mixed with other perennials like daylilies, bearded irises, hardy geraniums, or grown in containers. This big variety pak comes bagged/labeled separately of the following varieties: 1 Globemaster, 1 Gladiator, 3 Summer Drummer (purple/white), 3 Ping Pong (white), and 3 Purple Sensation. Purple Sensation will be the earliest to bloom sending up violet to reddish colored globes at about 2.5 feet tall. Globemaster’s flower heads are some of the largest around, growing up to 10-12” in diameter on plants reaching heights of about 3-4 feet tall, they almost look like purple balloons growing in your garden! Globemaster’s spherical, deep lavender flower umbels are truly a sight to be seen as they grow atop elegant strap-like foliage each spring. Gladiator is another tall and very sturdy variety amongst the giant alliums at about 3-4 feet tall and fabulous rose-purple globes stretching 6 inches across in mid spring to early summer. Summer Drummer is a very tall, fragrant, and award winning variety reaching heights of 6 feet that has purple blossoms with a brushing of white for a unique appearance. Ping Pong, a shorter type has color-changing densley packed globe-shaped flowers that begin pink and slowly change to white with age in mid summer. With age the flowers become more white with pink tones.
